Conveyancers are generally not required when refinancing as conveyancers assist in the transfer of property ownership. Mortgage brokers or lenders are responsible for refinancing as the matter deals with a finance contract rather than a property contract. If a refinance also involves adding or removing someone off the title, a conveyancer will be required.
